The Ben Anfone Jr. Scholarship Fund.

Ben Anfone Jr. was a friend of Creator and Executive Instructor JW Myers. They met in Los Angeles, California in 1990. Ben is originally from Greenfield, OH. Ben moved to Los Angeles in 1990 to pursue a career in entertainment. He worked as an actor, mostly as an extra in film and television. Ben found his way into stand-up comedy, and paid his dues playing the Los Angeles open mic circuit. His act was really funny, but unfortunately, he got cut-off a little short of his “Tonight Show” debut.

Ben was one of the funniest people that I’ve ever known. He was a person who lived seemingly carefree, and truly loved life. I know that probably sounds like something that we like to say about people after they’ve passed, but Ben was really like that. Everyone who knew Ben says that about him. Ben was always playing and goofing around, and he really loved kids. Life was an improvisation to Ben – and he had that special way with kids. If he would have lived to see ReelMovieKids.com, I can guarantee you he and I would have been in this business together. Ben left us in 1996 at the age of 30.

ReelMovieKids.com truly represents the spirit of Ben. Well-meaning, kind-spirited, and truly funny. We seek to give young people a chance to express themselves in a comedic way, the way that Ben did every day of his way too short life.

The Ben Anfone Jr. Scholarship Fund was created to give kids who may not be able to afford the cost of tuition a chance to learn, grown, and express themselves at ReelMovieKids.com.

Donations to the Scholarship Fund are being accepted in the form of a specific fullpaid tuition, and also in the form of general donation. Please contact us at kevin@reelmoviekids.com for further details, or to make a contribution to the Ben Anfone Jr. Scholarship Fund.
